Description Under the supervision of the department Supervisor or Manager, plans, directs and delivers high quality comprehensive nursing care in accordance with Washington State Nurse Practice Act and Pacific Medical Center's clinical standards. Follows professional standards of nursing practice, procedures, and protocols. Integrates nursing process in carrying out effective patient care and leadership roles. Utilizes a collegial and systematic approach to nursing practice. Ensures efficiency through active participation of quality assurance, process improvement, infection control and staff development program initiatives and oversight. Adheres to state regulatory and compliance guidelines. Provides specialized care in an assigned specialty department, utilizes critical thinking skills, experience, knowledge, and demonstrated competency in patient pre-admission screenings, preadmit, intra-procedure and recovery of patients. Required Qualifications: Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate or Diploma) from an accredited school of nursing. Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Within 90 days of hire: ACLS certification. 3 years recent RN experience in an in-patient care or specialty care setting. 3 years recent experience in a specialty care or acute care setting. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Training in equipment used within the specialty department. Coursework/Training: Training in equipment and instrument Sterilization. Coursework/Training: Training in sterile technique. Upon hire: Certification in specialty (CCRN Certification, CNOR Certification, or CGRN Certification). Why Join Providence?
