Clamp Truck Drivers
at our state of the art facility in
Ontario, CA . As a
Clamp Truck Drivers , you are responsible for the Clamp Truck, line-up, roll stock and roll room ensuring quality products in a safe and efficient manner. The primary role for this position is to maintain the Roll Warehouse in immaculate condition for proper roll rotation and to transfer the proper paper grade rolls to the machines for production

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:Operate a Clamp safely & effectively.Know roll stock rotation and warehouse map.Keep the warehouse well organized with all rolls in assigned locations, clearly labeled and marked with correct information, and all tags facing the same direction.Follow first in first out procedure, ensure no damage or hanging wraps, and rolls are tightly wound and taped.Verify the incoming roll stock with the supplier's shipping manifest. Perform incoming inspections. Tag and put rolls away.Ability to print tags and receive roll stock on computer.Assist in training new clamp truck drivers.Assist in identifying slow moving or obsolete grades/widths so that plans can be made to use them.Ability to identify and correct causes of peel waste.Ability to properly secure trailers, load and unload them in a safe way.Communicate successfully with office and production personnel (co-workers and customers), as well as truck drivers using proper communication skills.Comprehend instructions given by supervisors.Handle clamp trucks responsibly and take ownership in maintaining and upkeep clamp trucks in good shape.Prepare and send out Mill claims to paper purchaser / process manager. Maintain and update Mill claim worksheet with accuracy.Assist Plant Superintendent in designating a balanced weekend work schedule to ensure fair and balanced overtime work schedule.Ability to get along and have a good working relationship with other employees.Ability to transfer the proper paper grade rolls to the machine for production.Attendance must be exemplary at all times.Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Must be at least 18 years of age.PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
GED or high school diploma.Corrugated experience.REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.):
Experience operating a clampAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Basic math skills and must be able to read a tape measure.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Operate industrial truck while seated for extended periods of time.Constant standing, talking, hearing, and walking.Frequent stooping and bending, twisting, turning, maintaining balance.Occasional kneeling and reaching over the shoulder; also required simple grasping, pushing and pulling.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and peripheral vision.WORK ENVIRONMENT
