As a trusted partner to our military customers, we design, develop and operate systems that bring together service members from across the globe to help them train effectively.The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Control Technician is responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client, server, and network infrastructure. The candidate will work closely with team members to update, monitor and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices. Additional duties include performing Microsoft Windows client/server administration, maintenance, patching, and configuring systems in compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG). The individual must be able to work independently and within a team. Flexibility to work occasional non-standard hours and weeks of more than 40 hours is required to meet business, customer, and contractual needs.Maintains smooth operation of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN). Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication networks. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience.Typically requires 4 - 7 years of related experience.Security+ or equivalent certification.Use of Enterprise Patching systems preferred.Cisco experience required.Linux+/Microsoft/Cisco certification preferred.Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.Preferred Requirements

Experience with Cisco switching/troubleshooting connectivity issues.Experience implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).Experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations.Experience with VMware.Experience with network and performance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, etc.).Strong technical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and digest technical information.Strong attention to detail.Strong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Physical Requirements
