The Staff Engineer will travel to various locations to support projects at PCA paper mills and box plants. This is a hands-on position, working side-by-side with the leaders, craft, and mill personnel to drive the projects to completion. It’s an exciting opportunity for anyone that wants to make an impact on the organization, while working with the best team in the industry!Requirements for the job:Computer knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.Knowledge of common computer application.Be able to travel 70% of the time. Mostly weekly trips, however some weekends will be required.Have a Valid Passport and driver license.Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering.Job Duties:Learn and use the Faro alignment Laser system.Attend paper mill outages and assist mill with alignment and mechanical issues.Communicate issues to upper management at mill and corporate levels.Be available by phone for any mechanical issue at any time.Work with Mill’s Vendors/ Contractors to resolve issues.Learn and service paper mill & box plant equipment.Learn and apply reliability practices at PCA.Work with the Mechanical Reliability Group on ProjectsDevelop reliability best practices and add them to PCA’s SharePoint site.Work box plant and Papermill personal to apply alignment standards learned.Assist the capital project group with any mechanical engineering aspects.All
