Scott Air Force Base IL 62225Job SummaryGalapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level four Network Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.As a level four Network Specialist, your main function will be to maintain, install components, troubleshoot, and diagnose telecommunications and network problems on both classified and unclassified networks such as transport mechanisms, routers and switches.Compensation Minimum: $130,000Compensation Maximum: $135,000Skills / Experience RequiredSecret Clearance10+ years of Network Specialist experienceIdentification, testing, evaluation, documentation, installation, maintenance, and configuration of telecommunications and network infrastructure hardware and softwareProficient in troubleshooting intra- and inter-building connectivity issues including fiber and copper transport mechanismsSkilled in formulating logical designs for network problems and devising solutionsExperienced in creating technical documentation and support manuals.Conducts trend analysis to proactively address network integration issuesDelivers various documentation including physical designs, implementation plans, topology maps, architecture drawings, and trend reportsManages installation, operations, and maintenance of the Joint Training and Experimentation Network (JTEN)Operates and maintains all networking devices from the Air Force Network (AFNET) Site Premise Router to on-site participant networksProvides network support for both unclassified and classified networksAdministers servers and workstations, including identification of emerging technologies, evaluation, documentation, installation, and configurationSupports system backups at alternate sites and Continuity of Operations Plan facilitiesConducts maintenance to ensure network hardware operates within functional and design specifications, including fault isolation of hardware and software failuresEducation / CertificationsMust possess and maintain an IASAE level certificationBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOPaid Parental leaveTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidaysSecurity ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen.
