As we build a safer, more intelligent, and connected mobility experience, Magna is dedicated to creating a better future for people globally.About The RoleThe Senior Software Engineer is responsible for Requirements, designing the software components (detailed design), coding the software components and testing the software components based on the software architecture and the software requirements within a project.Your ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with system functional safety engineering in the development of the technical safety concept with focus on SWSupport the SW architect in the development of the functional safety conceptCreate detailed software requirements (SWE.1)Create Software Architecture and Design (SWE.2 & SWE.3)Review SW related safety requirements (SYS, HSI, SW)Develop requirements as per ASPICE & GPEP processCollaborate with the System Architect and create software requirementsCollaborate with the SW architect in the preparation of information needed for SW safety analyses (e.g. critical paths)Perform / coordinate SW safety analyses (SW-FMEA, DFA) to identify potential failure modes and their impact on safetyDevelop and maintain SW safety analyses reportsRepresent SW functional safety in customer meetingsAnalyze system requirement and derive software requirementsDevelop feature evaluation and performance criteria and metrics. Analyze test results and data to ascertain performance meets requirements.Create and maintain required project documentation (i.e. Software requirements specifications and Software test plans)Technical Lead the software requirements, implementationOwn Overall Software Requirements of Interior Sensing (Driver Monitoring System)Who We Are Looking ForBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in software developmentPrevious experience on Software/system/safety/Cyber Security RequirementsStrong knowledge on using Requirements management tools like DOORS, PTC, Code beamerExperience on Development on POSIX based Operating System like QNX, Linux, ThreadxStrong expertise in embedded C/C++ programming and Software architectureFamiliarity with automotive industry standards and embedded systems developmentPrevious Experience on AUTOSAR Projects (Optional)Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skillsYour Preferred QualificationsExperience with ADAS or other automotive technologiesProficiency in modern software development tools and methodologiesExperience in managing distributed teams and international projectsExperience on CI/CD, Containerization, Digital Twin is an added advantageWhat We OfferAt Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
