Sr. Solutions Architect - Life Sciences Clinical Solutions, Global Life Sciences
Solutions Architects at Amazon Web Services (AWS) build technical relationships with customers and operate as their trusted advisor. In this specific role, you will work with AWS customers to create solutions to Health Care & Life Sciences (HCLS) industry challenges in the clinical research space. This role requires HCLS domain expertise in areas such as clinical workflows, clinical trials, and the development and deployment of industry solutions in the life sciences value chain. The role requires past experience having chosen, implemented, and/or supported clinical applications.
Experience with application integration design, solid knowledge of business software application design stemming from domain-driven design, and micro-services and component-based architectures is a plus. Candidates should have insights on how cloud-based software solutions are built in a life sciences context, including but not limited to the handling of sensitive data, process observability, and audit readiness.
You will also participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology and HCLS industry trends (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences). This role will include up to 30% travel.
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience- 3+ years of deep Clinical Life Sciences technology and/or domain expertise.- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience- Experience working with end user or developer communities.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
