WHAT DOES A CONFIGURATION MANAGER DO?
Augment a well-established team as a configuration manager. This is a collaborative team environment that entails frequent interaction with customers. This is a fast-paced team so a willingness to take on challenges to creatively work on developmental and operational teams to create baselines supporting various systems. The successful candidate for configuration manager will be self-motivated and will support new development work as well as sustainment activities.
The configuration manager (CM) is responsible for configurations of developmental and operational systems for the entire discipline life cycle of systems from initial requirements and baselines. The configuration manager is required to maintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration using DOORS, Eclipse and JIRA. The prospective configuration manager will apply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process.

The configuration manager (CM) will assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures while using configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items. The configuration manager (CM) will need to understand basic concepts and assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures. The configuration manager (CM) will need to understand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
The configuration manager (CM) will also assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process utilizing CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse and JIRA). The configuration manager (CM) will be required to develop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
Requirements
Active Top Secret//SCI with poly required at time of application.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
or university in technical or business discipline.
Four (4) years of additional configuration management (CM)
experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Six (6) years' experience as a CM
in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
