JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Greystar is the global leader in the investment, development, and management of high-quality rental housing properties. Greystar provides end-to-end property management services for residential housing, apartment homes, furnished corporate housing, and mixed-use properties incorporating retail space.

Greystar Digital Technologies (Codename: "Apex") is revolutionizing the real estate leasing and living experience for our residents. We are building software designed to improve our customers' apartment shopping journey and enable business intelligence to help us develop personalized experiences for our residents.

About the role:

As a Greystar Front End engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our customer-facing mobile application by developing application features, participating in feature design sessions, performing code reviews, and working closely with the product, operations and development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.

What You Will Do:

Develop and maintain the user interface of our customer-facing mobile app using React Native for iOS and Google platforms.

Collaborate with the backend team to integrate frontend components with backend services.

Participate in feature design sessions to ensure the feasibility and functionality of new features.

Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.

Collaborate with product design teams to quickly create prototypes, iterate, and deliver high-quality features.

Stay up to date with the latest development tools and techniques, particularly AI code and development tools.

Ensure a high standard of code quality is met using SonarCloud or similar tools.

Implement A/B testing using LaunchDarkly to experiment with and optimize application features.

Develop and maintain application technical documentation for mobile application components.

Technical Qualifications:

Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a frontend developer.

Expert knowledge of React Native for mobile application development.

Strong knowledge of Javascript & TypeScript.

Proven experience with building, testing and deployment applications on iOS and Android platforms.

Experience with Git and version control systems.

Experience with Sonarcloud for code quality and security analysis.

Knowledge of LaunchDarkly (or similar) for feature flag management and progressive delivery.

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.

Experience with Azure APIs and their integration in mobile applications.

Experience with Agile, DevOps, SDLC methodologies.

Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile accessibility standards.

Technical pre-screening test and technical interview will be required for all candidates.

Overall Qualifications:

Proven experience in developing cross-platform customer-facing mobile applications.

Expert understanding of modern frontend development practices and tools.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Passion for technology and a strong desire to stay updated with the latest technology trends and developments.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, experience managing expectations and priorities.

"Self-starter" attitude and the ability to make decisions with minimal guidance from others.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and innovative approach.

Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.

Prior experience in a startup environment, delivering consumer-facing apps is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business management information systems, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Additional Compensation:

Corporate Positions : In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

Onsite Property Positions : In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
