Responsibilities
The Day Services Manager is responsible for the operation of day services, including personnel, operational budget, compliance with agency policy, state/federal regulations, or standards of service, and quality of program for persons servedOversees/participates in the hiring process of all assigned positions in accordance with Company policy and local, state, and federal employment lawEnsures all assigned staff receive training and supervision as needed to meet performance expectationsEnsures accurate and timely completion of all documentation related to staff (new hires, terms, performance reviews, leave requests, corrective actions)Participates in investigations and ensures appropriate follow through on recommendationsManages contracts and supervises the work of contract staffOversees ongoing contractsSupervises and trains staff on contract workMaintains good customer relations with current business partnersProvides support to persons servedOversees the treatment/support services provided by day services staffServes as liaison for appropriate Support Coordinators, family, legal guardiansCoordinates/resolves conflicts in resources for provision of servicesAttends support plans or special reviews, as necessaryMonitors program documentation for accuracy and timelinessEvaluates and monitors program effectivenessMonitors individual financial recordsMonitors individual medication administration recordsProvides budget and financial oversightAssist in the development and monitoring of assigned budgetsRemains within budgeted expenses for service areasReviews and assigns referrals in admission to programConducts and monitors service integrity and compliance to service site/company policy to maintain licensure, Medicaid, or other fundingMonitors staffing schedules, overtime, staff vacancy rates
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Business, Health care Administration, or a Social Science preferredMust have a minimum of five years in the Human Services field with two years of progressively responsible management experiencePrior experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities preferredAbility to communicate verbally and in writingAbility to travel to multiples service sites, staying overnight if necessaryExperience in managing systems, processes, and peopleWorking knowledge of Federal, State, Local regulations concerning services to individuals with developmental disabilitiesDemonstrate computer proficiency with working knowledge of Excel, WordGood organizational skills and attention to detailProven supervisory skillsCapable of working responsibly with highly confidential informationProven track record to guide teams toward multiple goals within several resource and/or reimbursement modelsValid driver’s license from state of residence with satisfactory driving record as defined by Company vehicle policy and/or liability insurance carrier
