to work on land development projects in North Carolina, ensuring timely and successful project delivery. The option to work remote is supported.Position Overview:
As a
Project Engineer
specializing in
Land Development , you will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of various large-scale projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with clients, including leading pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer and Moderna, to develop innovative solutions for land development projects. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing project timelines, coordinating with external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and optimizing project efficiency for infrastructure serving the healthcare, research, and vaccine industries.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and engineering efforts for land development projects, including site planning, grading, drainage, and utilities.Collaborate with top industry clients, including Pfizer, Moderna, and other healthcare leaders, on developing critical vaccine and healthcare infrastructure.Manage all aspects of land development engineering, from feasibility studies and site analysis to final construction documentation.Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless project execution and regulatory compliance.Review and approve project plans, designs, and specifications to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and project teams.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, clients, and team members to provide status updates and resolve project issues.Support the project management team in ensuring the successful completion of vaccine production facilities, research labs, and hospital projects.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Land Development, or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months.5+ years of experience in land development engineering, with a focus on site design, utilities, and grading.Proven experience working on projects related to healthcare, research, or vaccine facilities is highly desirable.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other land development design software.Strong knowledge of North Carolina land development codes, regulations, and permitting processes.Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable development practices.Preferred Skills:Experience with commercial, residential or industrial land development projects.LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable land development practices is a plus.Strong understanding of the latest technological advancements in civil engineering and land development.Location:
