Responsibilities:
Perform engineering work in water and wastewater infrastructure and conveyance retrofit, design build, progressive design built, etc.
Work on engineering planning, design, design management and project management of medium to large size projects for Municipal and Water Districts clients in the region
Manage projects with a variety of pipeline materials including: ductile iron, steel, PVC, HTPE, etc. for medium to large diameter potable and wastewater pipelines projects
Design Management of Water / Wastewater Infrastructure and Conveyance systems (I.e. pipelines, pump stations, pumping systems, etc.)
Assist in client relations and business development pursuits across the south Florida region
Prepare reports, develop plans, and specifications
Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater related projects
Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
Permitting and preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
Data entry and analysis
Provide engineering services during construction and commissioning
Participate in field activities, when needed (limited amount of travel required)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental Engineering
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
4-10 years of experience in water / wastewater Infrastructure design and project management engineering
3+ years in Project Management for municipalities / water districts in south Florida (i.e. South Florida Water Management District, Broward County, Palm Beach County)
Strong design of Water/Wastewater treatment systems for municipal clients
Extensive experience with large diameter pipe and directional drilling
Experience with designing, planning, and commissioning of pipeline and pump system projects in the region
Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (+)
