About the Role:

As a remote based Sr. IT System Administrator on the IT team with Dynatron Software, your primary responsibility will be monitoring and addressing system and network related issues to keep our daily operations and services running smoothly. You will be responsible for evaluating and implementing new tools to monitor and maintain the infrastructure, and automating their configuration as much as possible.

As a senior specialist on the team, you will have the opportunity to mentor others on the team and assist them in gaining knowledge and experience. You will be part of a larger support team consisting of remote teammates working together to solve complex problems, share knowledge and bring innovative solutions to the table. The ideal person for this job enjoys the pace of a growing company and tackling challenges head on. They are self-directed and eager to learn about new technologies and products.

Qualified Candidates Need:

Three-Five years of experience with Linux server and network supportLinux (Ubuntu/Debian preferred)Experience with Ansible or other automated deployment toolsVirtualization (VMWare or similar)NAS storage (NetApp preferred)Network troubleshooting and configuration, specifically with PFsense and Cisco switchesNetworking and storage skills for on prem. All things routers, network switches, subnets, VNETs, VLANs, DNS, proxy servers, reverse proxies, load balancers, firewallsBasic database admin experienceEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate and deploy infrastructure and IT tools, with a focus on IT Security. Use automated processes (such as Ansible) whenever possible.Deploy server and network configurations for new applications, including Linux prerequisite packages, and network and firewall requirements.Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configurations, mapping, processes, and service records.Manage inventory of virtual machines, storage appliances, network devices, and other aspects of the infrastructure, providing administration and system support for IT managed applications and systems.Monitor network and server performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.Configures and update our monitoring systems.Provides Tier III Systems support.Provides guidance for IT Specialists on the team.Work assigned support tickets, adhering to escalation policies and procedures.Provide professional and courteous customer service.Assist in problem-solving for corporate applications issues.Keep up to date with application releases and communicate features that align with our business needs.Tests new software applications and recommends purchases where required.Not Required, but would set you apart from the rest:
