Job Responsibilities:
Serves as the “servant leader” of the Scrum team by removing impediments and helping the team remain successful and on schedule.
Must have a sufficient understanding of technology to enable them to lead team members and help them overcome their development roadblocks; they must also understand business strategy and objectives, and be able to ensure that development work is prioritized by business value and results align with objectives.
The incumbent provides counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex assignments.
Coach team members.
Become a leader of peers.
Mentor lower level scrum masters.
Advocate agile across the organization.
Contribute to agile growth of the organization.
May participate in the hiring process of scrum masters.
Begin tackling organizational impediments.
Capable of coaching up.
Participate in cross-departmental efforts.
Leads initiatives within the community of practice.
Skills and Experience Required:
Background in Cyber Security projects strongly preferred.
Cloud experience strongly preferred (AWS and/or Azure).
5+ years of SM/Agile team level experience.
Mentors other scrum masters.
Continuous improvement in agile leadership.
Mastery of agile principles.
Comfortable opposing anti-patterns.
Strong collaboration with leadership groups (CTPOs, Directors, Sr. Managers, Architects).
JIRA expert.
Confluence expert.
Able to teach Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD, XP.
Can start and facilitate Scrum of Scrums.
