Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Cloud Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO and Springfield, VA.HOW A CLOUD ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTThe Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with a highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; and providing customers technical support. The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating in scrums and other meetings.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain security requirements for operation of systemsMaintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)Produce detailed documentationMaintain System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAMManage and Maintain AWS WorkSpacesAutomate and optimize service deploymentsDeliver a full-stack web application to production; identify and resolve operational issuesActively participate in technical requirements-gathering process (i.e. meetings with customers)Execute design and implementation of application features independently with minimal oversightWrite and read unit tests; understand code-quality analysis conceptsWrite and debug Javascript, Typescript, or closely-related languageDevelop applications backed by a relational database; understand RDB design conceptsWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience5+ years IT experienceMeet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNARequired Skills:Strong knowledge of Amazon Web ServicesStrong troubleshooting skills at the Tier 1-3 levelAngular frontend framework; UI/UX designMicroservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIsCI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLabStrong knowledge of Active DirectoryWindows/Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS Administration experienceDesktop supportDomain/System Administrator experienceBe a team collaboratorHave or able to receive a TS/SCI with CI PolyDesired Skills:Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLIExperience working with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, or Java)Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal developmentDatabase experience with a Postgres backendExperience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or PerlFamiliarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, GitLab Pages, and NexusKnowledge of Confluence and JiraFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsDesired Certifications:AWS Certified Cloud PractitionerAgile/SAFeLocation:
