The Impact you will have in this role:

The Strategic Management & Governance family is responsible for serving as a dedicated technology resource for advancing the firm's business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for demonstrating new technologies. Leads significant programs and projects including strategic change management, new business and product initiatives, process re-engineering, and all general business management initiatives.

The Lead Business Systems Analyst role specializes in acting as the main interface between Technology and specific business/product areas, identifying, documenting and analyzing business requirements, crafting detailed project and process specifications, coordinating with project teams.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Produce functional specifications by analyzing business requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams.

Lead workflow design and give to user experience design, where applicable.

Collaborate with project team, product management, and collaborators on assigned aspects of the project.

Review estimates of resource needs and schedule of work with related collaborators.

Provide mentorship to team members by elaborating the necessary details required through all phases of projects.

Provide input to developers and Test Engineers to ensure System Integration and User Acceptance Test scripts accurately reflect business and functional requirements.

Participate in reviews of SIT results and defect reviews; support user acceptance testing as needed.

Participate creating system documentation under company-specific best practices and standards.

Recommend controls by identifying gaps and designing solutions to automate manual processes.

Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; brings up appropriately.

Talents needed for Success:

6+ years of IT experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst.

Familiarity with diverse technologies and platforms.

Familiarity with Agile techniques and tools - Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.

Solid experience in writing SQL queries – very comfortable with unions, inner and outer joins.

Basic Excel manipulations, pivot, lookup, if/elseif, substring manipulations, etc.

Work with multiple collaborators to assemble their functional requirements in the JIRA board.

Assist Testing team in providing various data from operational systems.

When applicable, documents for customers and/or provide information for others to document.

Familiarity with GSD & MBSD products: TIPs, BONDs, REPOs, POOLs, Security Identifiers, paydown factor, clean price, dirty price, etc.

High level understanding of Market Risk: VaR and its usage, standard deviation, confidence level, liquidation period, etc.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Clear communicator, with good verbal and written communication skills.

Detail oriented.

Continuous proactivity and follow-through.

Ability to prioritize and focus on most urgent tasks & work in a fast-paced IT environment.

Proficient MS Office skills.

Knowledge of system functionality to be able to engage in discussion with the squad.

Not afraid to ask many questions, push back, or raise attention to risks or issues.

A flexible, and proactive approach to track down resources to gather appropriate information.

Innovative (to demonstrate variability).

Comfortable working closely with team management to review approaches and requirements that solve the business problem.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
