GUI Developer

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a talented mid-level GUI Developer with expertise in Qt to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and Python programming, as well as experience in database design. Our new teammate will be able to work equally well in a team as on their own. We want a team player that is eager to learn and ready for a challenge. This is an on-site role at Eglin AFB.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop user-friendly graphical user interfaces using Qt frameworkWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ and Python codeImplement database designs and integrate them with GUI applicationsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture discussionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software productsTroubleshoot and debug issues in existing applicationsJoin our team and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions using the latest Qt technologies. If you're passionate about creating intuitive and efficient user interfaces, we want to hear from you!QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldMust be a U.S. CitizenCandidate must have a Secret clearance and be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret clearance3 - 5 years of experience in GUI development using Qt frameworkStrong programming skills in C++ and PythonProficiency in database design and implementationFamiliarity with version control systems, preferably GitExperience with cross-platform development (Windows, macOS, Linux)Preferred Skills:Knowledge of QML for modern UI developmentExperience with multithreading and performance optimizationFamiliarity with agile development methodologiesUnderstanding of software testing practices
