The BSA Systems Analyst is responsible for working closely with the BSA Systems Manager in managing the daily aspects of the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering Transaction Monitoring Software (TMS), which includes maintaining the company’s compliance with laws and regulations and serving as a subject matter expert on BSA/AML compliance related matters. This position partners with other areas of the BSA Department as well as all business units throughout the Bank, in advisement, regulatory interpretation, and compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines. The BSA Systems Analyst must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills and be knowledgeable in all areas related to BSA/AML Compliance.This position is responsible for the collection and analysis of data used to perform testing and tuning of the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering Transaction Monitoring Software. The BSA Systems Analyst will support the BSA Systems Manager with maintenance of the TMS and assist with determining system parameters by performing ongoing analysis of customer and transactional data.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with BSA Systems Manager in managing project deadlines and to ensure consistent quality of each projectPerform testing and tuning functions related to the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering Program, such as new and existing Agent threshold testing and data integration validationDetect, report, and track any software issues and resolutionsAssist with the ongoing analysis of AML detection system parameters and methodologies to assess the continued relevance of the detection scenarios, high risk dimensions, the underlying rules, threshold values, parameters, and assumptionsAssist with data collection/analysis for the BSA/AML/OFAC Risk Assessment, Independent Audits, Regulatory Examinations, and Model ValidationsEnsure the AML system upgrades/enhancements are tested and implemented timelyEnsure Agent batches run as scheduled and successfully, and report any delays or failures to managementServe as a secondary contact to investigators regarding prevention processes, by providing direction, interpretation, and advice on money-laundering prevention systems and processesRespond to or refer inquiries to the appropriate department, person, or vendor and exhibit the necessary follow through with all parties involvedAssume responsibility for the various department functions in the absence of staff members or during a declared nature disaster or pandemicReport any suspicious or unusual activity carried out by customers or associatesComplete the annual BSA/AML and Compliance trainingOther duties as assigned by managerPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
