The Senior Manager, DSD (Direct Store Delivery) Sales Capabilities is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and implementation of comprehensive learning and development programs that support the growth and performance of our DSD Field Sales employees. This role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This role can work fully remote. Preferred geography is Camden, NJ area. We are open to other locations for the right candidate.Principal Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute a strategic learning and development plan that aligns with the DSD Field Sales teams’ goals and objectives.Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key learning needs and priorities.
Program Design and Delivery:
Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning programs, workshops, and training sessions across various platforms (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning).Ensure programs are engaging, effective, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our salesforce.
Leadership Development:
Create and manage leadership development initiatives in partnership with our Human Resources team to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.Provide coaching and support to managers and leaders to enhance their development.In partnership with Human Resources, develop tools and resources to support managers in effective performance coaching and feedback.
Evaluation and Assessment:
Implement metrics and evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning and development programs.Continuously assess and improve programs based on feedback and data analysis.
Budget Management:
Manage the learning and development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.Identify and manage external vendors and partners as needed.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a high-performing learning and development team.Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Perform other related duties as assigned.Job Complexity / Scope:Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into actionable learning strategies.Ability to work with a large and dynamic sales organization with diverse training needs by role type.Ability to synthesize and present key messages in an engaging way.Ability to prioritize several competing requests and manage demands from multiple key stakeholders.Must be capable of prioritizing competing responsibilities.Must look for opportunities to continually improve and streamline.A positive, 'can do' attitude is essential.Job Specifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.A minimum of 12 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven experience in designing and implementing successful learning and development programs.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant technologies.Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar certification is a plus.Working Conditions:Modest travel is expected to headquarter and field locations.Physical Demands:The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
