You will be working on our internal corporate YouTube-like streaming video platform, live cable television, as well as integrations with Zoom for meetings and webinars. You will be part of a team of developers that work across the four squads within the Voice & Video team to integrate, enhance and build our product and services portfolio.Our team provides reliable and secure Voice & Video solutions that are essential to our associates' productivity and their ability to remain focused on providing the best customer experience in the industry. The Voice & Video team provides our associates with frictionless communication services that allow them to easily meet and collaborate with internal and external partners. We improve the ease of use through building our own solutions and integrating into best of breed industry cloud/hybrid vendors, while striving to reduce spend and overlapping of technologies. We are motivated by consistently providing excellent, highly regarded solutions that make our customers happy.Responsible for contributing to the development of our internal streaming video platform (similar to YouTube) and other internal applications that integrate into Zoom and other platforms via APIs.Contribute to key design aspects on performance, scalability, resiliency, security, and high availability across several areas of software projects.Create and maintain documentation whenever necessary.Participate in all phases of the development process, from conception to deployment as a member of an agile, cross-functional team.Support other associates on the team to develop solutions that improve the team's services.The Expertise You Have and The Skills You BringBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or equivalent.2-5 years of full stack software development experience in front-end, back-end, and mid-tier projects in two or more programming languages (Go, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, Java).2-5 years of experience in container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.2-5 years of full stack software development experience in front-end, back-end, and mid-tier projects of three or more large scale projects.Strong knowledge of API integrations.Experience with Postgres.Expertise in streaming video protocols, codecs, and technologies.Strong contributor with a collaborative work style in building, crafting, and reviewing code.Motivated/driven to get things done and deliver on team commitments.Desire to constantly learn and implement new learnings into projects.Ability to think of 2-3 ways of accomplishing tasks and work with others to determine the best path forward.Design and write clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code.Can adapt to changing conditions and coach others through change.Possess ability to communicate efficiently verbally, through written documentation, or via video.Ability to write and understand SQL with various databases such as Postgres or Snowflake.Experience in cloud technology with a stricter focus on Amazon Web Services such as RDS, Elasticache, EKS.Champions fixes and improvements to the team's technical or process-related impediments.
