In the role of

Georgia/Alabama-Mississippi Water Business Group Manager , you will have overall program responsibility, and we'll count on you to:Take responsibility for operations including staff development, profitability, communications, morale, quality control and marketing support.Be responsible for annual planning and group financial performance.See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system.Be directly involved in business development planning, proposals and interviews.Focus on recruiting, staff development, and retention.Provide leadership and development training.Be present in the market and active in community advancing industry issues.Exhibit strong delegation skills on daily business activity and delivery to direct reports.Be directly involved with municipal, private water, and federal water clients in marketing, project production and related issues.Implement, monitor and support company policy.Work cooperatively with other Business Group Managers and Area leadership.Perform other duties as needed.You will report to the Area Manager who is based in Atlanta, GA. The role is driven to execute the annual business plan of the Georgia Water Business Group. Your responsibility will be across the area and the role will require periodic travel.Primary Roles and Responsibilities:Responsible for the operational metrics for the Area Water Business Group.Assist in prioritization of hires, identification and recruiting of candidates.Collaborate with staff in the definition and engagement strategy for clients within the Area.Coordinate the alignment of internal resources to the needs of our clients and the achievement of goals.Assist in development of annual strategic planning effort.Assist in external activities that increase market presence and expand HDR brand to help grow.Secondary Responsibilities:Support Business Development activities.Technical learning path development and mentoring.Participate in Civic affairs and client development.Principal in Charge for select set of major clients.Additional Qualifications:Experience must include water, wastewater and/or water resources project delivery experience.Registered Professional Engineer in Georgia, Alabama, or Mississippi or the ability to gain reciprocity.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.A minimum of 10 years experience.Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.What We Believe:HDR is our company.
