Job SummaryThe Access Coordinator will serve as a liaison between oversight leadership, call center leadership, and the Cadence Business Team. This role will monitor schedules in real-time and identify opportunities to maximize current capacity.High Level Overview:
Working in partnership with Call Center, Cadence Team, and Operations to identify openings and opportunities with scheduling.Assessments of the drivers behind the openings to identify opportunities to resolve and fill.Track common themes to inform opportunities for permanent changes.What Benefits can you Look Forward to?Excellent medical, dental, and vision coverage effective on your very first day.2:1 Match on retirement savings.Responsibilities:Daily audit of open scheduling slots for a defined period in the future.Partner with the contact center and cadence business team to understand contributing factors to the openings.Facilitate discussion and decision-making amongst the call center, clinic leadership, and cadence to remove barriers to scheduling.Track and trend root cause and opportunities.Facilitate permanent change requests based on trended opportunities.Escalate issues and opportunities to appropriate teams for resolution and track to completion.Conduct meetings, effectively communicate, and manage change with stakeholders.Establish and maintain an excellent working relationship with project teams and stakeholders.Serve as liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with the Contact Center, Cadence Business Team, and UMMG Leadership.Perform other related duties.Required Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree or higher in information systems, business, health administration, or related field.Experience with clinical electronic health records (EHRs) in either a technical support or clinical user role.Possess strong communication, problem-solving, organization, change management, and analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Desired Qualifications:Experience using the Epic Cadence application.Strong project management and business analysis experience.Understanding of Ambulatory scheduling practices.Modes of Work:Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.Background Screening:Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.Application Deadline:Job openings are posted for a minimum of seven calendar days. The review and selection process may begin as early as the eighth day after posting.
