Discover what to expect during your journey as a candidate with us.As a Senior AWS Cloud Migration SME, you will guide clients through their journey from on-premises infrastructure to the AWS cloud. In this role, you'll lead our team of specialists, utilizing AWS's cutting-edge services to help clients modernize and migrate their applications, addressing their most challenging business objectives.As a key leader on our team, you'll architect, implement, and manage AWS cloud environments, designing optimal migration strategies for our clients' diverse application portfolios. This position offers the chance to apply industry-leading methodologies and technologies, including AWS-native services, containerization, serverless architectures, and advanced analytics capabilities like Amazon SageMaker for AI/ML workloads.You'll work cross-functionally to ensure seamless application migrations, covering all aspects including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and AWS-specific services. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders and guide your team in delivering tailored AWS migration solutions that align with best practices and Well-Architected Framework principles.Whether re-platforming legacy applications, re-architecting for cloud-native designs, or building new solutions leveraging AWS services, you'll have access to the latest AWS technologies and a team of skilled cloud professionals to support your efforts.Join us in shaping the future of cloud migration. The world is ready for your expertise.You Have:6+ years of experience with cloud migration, including AWS3+ years of experience managing large-scale AWS migration projects in enterprise environmentsExperience in supporting cloud migration projects for DoD clients, including managing stakeholder expectations and navigating complex security requirementsExperience with AWS services, such as AWS Application Migration Service, AWS Database Migration Service, or AWS Server Migration ServiceExperience with managing migrations to AWS GovCloud (US) and working within compliance frameworks, including FedRAMPKnowledge of Agile methodologies and AWS-specific project management toolsKnowledge of AWS migration strategies, infrastructure design, and security best practicesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 4+ years of experience in IT, or 8+ years of experience in IT in lieu of a degreeAbility to obtain a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ or CASP+ Certification within 60 days of start dateNice If You Have:Experience working with C-level executives and key stakeholders on AWS migration initiativesExperience with complementary technologies like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code in AWSKnowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKSKnowledge of AWS-specific financial management tools, such as AWS Cost Explorer and AWS BudgetsAbility to manage multiple complex AWS migration projects simultaneouslyPossession of analytical skills with a focus on optimizing workloads for AWSAWS Specialty certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, AWS Certified Security - SpecialtyAWS Professional level certifications, such as Professional AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Professional AWS Certified DevOps EngineerClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD).
