Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer
. We provide sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle. Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development, Moog provides expert solutions in:Stabilized Turret Drive SystemsIntegrated Weapon Systems (full turret from mechanical design to fire control electronics and software)Ammunition HandlingData Control and DistributionPower Management and DistributionHere’s what you’ll be working on day to day:Provide systems engineering support for the design, development, integration, test, and verification of highly complex electro-mechanical systemsInterface with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to generate component and subsystem specificationsDefine hardware and software interfaces between subsystemsDevelop, test, analyze, and document turret fire control algorithmsBuild linear and nonlinear dynamic models and simulations to evaluate system performanceProvide technical leadership and guidance for development teamsSupport lab and field testingGenerate technical documentation (plans, reports)Occasional travel requiredHere’s the skills and abilities you will need to bring with you:BS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal Processing1 to 5 years industry experience; 5 to 10 years preferredClassical and modern control systems design knowledgeSignal processing and data analysis knowledgeHands-on experience working with the hardware and software aspects of electro-mechanical systemsMATLAB/Simulink knowledgeProficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detailHigh level of motivation and willingness to learnStrong work ethicAbility to access US export-controlled informationAbility to obtain a U.S. security clearanceIt would be great if you had:MS with an emphasis in Control Systems and Signal ProcessingTurret fire control systems design, integration, and test experienceMATLAB/Simulink expertiseStrong mathematical backgroundActive DoD Security ClearanceEOE/AA Minority/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Female/Disability/VeteranThe base pay range for this opportunity in CA is $91,000 - $204,000 annually. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual profit-sharing bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
