The Opportunity:
As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Booz Allen, you’ll play a critical role in the world of identity and access management and zero trust. In this role you'll be key in securing our IT infrastructure and access controls by implementing Zero Trust principles aligned with government clients. You’ll interface with stakeholders and engineering teams to delve into the details and dependencies of critical processes and users’ roles within them.
You’ll collaborate with security and IT leadership to design, implement, and maintain a Zero Trust security posture across IT infrastructure and IAM systems and conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in existing infrastructure and access controls. You'll develop and implement Zero Trust principles within both infrastructure and IAM domains, including network segmentation, micro-perimeters, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Just-in-Time (JIT) access, and Principle of Least Privilege (POLP). Configure and manage infrastructure security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and IAM solutions, such as identity providers, access control systems, and user provisioning tools. You will analyze Zero Trust principles into infrastructure and application security policies, working collaboratively with application owners and analyze and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including policies, procedures, and best practices for both infrastructure and IAM. As a SME you'll stay up-to-date on the latest Zero Trust advancements, and industry best practices for infrastructure and IAM security. Educate and train internal stakeholders on Zero Trust concepts and security best practices for both infrastructure and IAM. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
1+ years of experience with IT infrastructure security or IAM administration
Experience with implementing security solutions for network, system, and application security
Experience with administering and managing IAM solutions identity management systems, including Active Directory, or Azure AD
Experience with access control solutions, such as Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and frameworks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and IAM solutions
Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST CSF, and MITRE ATT&CK
Experience with security automation and orchestration tools
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
CISSP, Security+, or CCNA Security certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
