Information Systems Security Officer, Mid
Key Role:Coordinates and monitors highly sensitive aspects of the DoD, or other industrial security programs and other security activities, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Conducts highly sensitive security briefings. Coordinates all security education programs. Acts as primary liaison with upper management outside agencies. Provides work leadership to lower-level employees. Work as a dynamic, highly motivated, and well-organized individual and leverage expertise in analyzing US government security policies and procedures to serve as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) within Booz Allen Hamilton. Serves as an ISSO for classified computers in DoD and intelligence community (IC) computing environments. Ensures system security measures comply with applicable government policies. Provides assessment and authorization of computer networks using government standards and data contamination management, including coordinating clean-up efforts and reporting requirements and ensuring auditing requirements are completed. Works with system administrators to ensure all systems security procedures are being followed and audit files are being maintained and reviewed in accordance with multiple client requirements. Makes sound decisions, takes independent action, analyzes problems, provides focused solutions, and communicates information effectively to various audiences through verbal and written communications. Interacts with internal and external clients or government security officials to perform security duties, address routine information security matters with employees regarding issues, and perform report preparation, system security access briefings, and other duties, as required.Basic Qualifications:2+ years of experience with ISSM or ISSO work2+ years of experience with auditing or security functionsExperience with assessment or authorization requirementsKnowledge of US government IS and security policies, including the 32 CFR Part 117, DAAPM, RMF, ICD 503, JSIG, and NIST RMF or STIGAbility to work in a team environmentTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphHS diploma or GEDLevel 1 IAM CertificationAdditional Qualifications:Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsPossession of excellent organizational skillsClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being.
