For this role, we are open to remote work anywhere in the United States or Canada.About the opportunityThe Dayforce Security Engineering team is responsible for building, integrating, and delivering scalable frameworks to improve the security posture of the company. We also enhance security by finding, fixing, and preventing security flaws across the Dayforce family of products, including Dayforce, Dayforce Wallet, and others.As such, we are looking for a Security Engineering Architect to join our global Security Engineering organization with strong technical & leadership skills, a background in security engineering, and a passion for solving complex security challenges around secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) strategy, zero trust principles, standards, roadmaps, and security capabilities in a fast-moving agile environment. They should be comfortable working across the company and enjoy finding innovative ways to mitigate risk while protecting the data of more than five million users of Dayforce products.What you’ll get to doProvide end-to-end deep technical and architectural security engineering direction.Innovate, design, and build reliable core security solutions for a cloud-based SAAS company that enforces security policy through automation.Remain current with new security threats and assess systems for gaps in controls.Drive a shifting-left culture in the entire Secure Software Development Lifecycle.Define secure coding practices and guidance, conduct security reviews, and drive down security-related technical debt.Conduct penetration testing using open source and commercial tools.Foster a security-first culture by partnering with stakeholders, partners, and engineers to balance key performance and security.Lead continuous application security reviews.Research, validate, and drive deployment of scalable security solutions and improvements.Constantly research capabilities of current and new disruptive solutions on the market and make security roadmap recommendations to leadership.Conduct threat modeling to identify and understand threats and mitigations to protect the enterprise.Lead technical discussions with partners, vendors, management, and engineering.Lead the creation of clear and concise security standards to provide engineering teams with tactical direction for achieving the enterprise security strategy.Define current and future state security architecture design.Gather customer requirements and make solution recommendations as needed.Actively participate and represent Security Engineering in Architecture Review Board (ARB) reviews.Partner closely with Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Feature teams to drive the security roadmap.Skills and experience we valueBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.5+ years’ experience architecting security solutions.Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering results by defining requirements, leading planning, and driving execution.Excellent communication skills to multiple levels of audiences of stakeholders.Extensive hands-on experience with C#, cloud providers, and React.Extensive hands-on experience with security pillars such as Identity and Access Management, Data privacy, key management, encryption, security policies, Fraud mitigation, Application security.Experience addressing CI/CD security risks, including Identity & Access Management risks.Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment.Industry certifications, such as:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).Master’s degree is a plus.What’s in it for youDayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
