Position Overview
As a Software Engineer on the Simulation Technologies team, you will focus on enhancing our meshing tools for structural simulation in Fusion. You will be part of a team that is focusing on improving the performance and reliability of our meshing tools. Our technology is leveraged by customers around the world, and we aim to make our meshing engines best-in-class.
Responsibilities
Develop new approaches to improve the performance and reliability of our meshing technology stack.
Produce clean, effective, and well-documented source code, while participating in code review.
Maintain CI/CD processes that support all OS: Linux, Windows, and Mac.
Maintain and upgrade compilers, internal libraries, and security upgrades.
Apply experience in different HPC techniques to improve the software’s performance, e.g., CUDA, OpenMP.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Prior experience with build tools like CMake.
Experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems.
Worked with performance profiling tools such as Visual Studio, VTune, etc.
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Docker.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong CS Fundamentals, coding in C++ and Python.
Knowledge of computational geometry.
Familiarity with JavaScript and cloud development environments.
Interest in solving complex mechanical engineering problems.
Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $85,000 and $137,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
