AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.Come change the way the world sees the Cloud!The CloudWatch Logs team builds and manages some of the largest logging systems in the world. CloudWatch Logs allows AWS users to ingest their application and AWS logs in a highly scalable, durable, and reliable service for enterprise scale; find and analyze the right log data to solve operational problems; generate metrics and alarms from their log events; or send log data to other downstream systems. On the Logs team you’ll get to build critical monitoring services that impact every single AWS customer, both internally and externally.This is a full-stack development position, leaning towards back-end work.Key Job Responsibilities

Amazon CloudWatch Logs already operates at unprecedented scale, while upholding performance and durability requirements that our customers care about.You will work on/lead projects that drive software of large-scale control and planes with Amazon proprietary technologies.You’ll have the unique opportunity to shape our logging services and positively affect our customers. This means improving the performance of our service in distributed areas and delivering features to customers to better use our product.As part of the broader AWS organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the broader cloud strategy for Amazon.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering teamPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
