As the DEG (DRAM Engineering Group) Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing a team of engineers who plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications to support Micron's industry leading quality standards. You will be part of the DRAM Systems Compatibility Group (DSCG), a team of engineers responsible for validating Micron DRAM modules through industry groundbreaking system testing. We are on the forefront of technology with many opportunities to keep ahead of industry standards. The software we develop enables other Micron groups globally, ranging from early module design validation to full scale production quality screening.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Recruit, hire, and develop team members to enable the team’s long-term direction
Promote a positive team culture through servant leadership principles
Manage project timelines for the team to design and develop innovative DRAM diagnostic software
Collaborate with internal customers to align on chipset roadmaps
Develop pathfinding strategies for increased agility in chipset and decode enablement
Provide ongoing support of software tools used by internal groups
Maintain a solid understanding of Micron products and customer platforms
Qualifications and skills include:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
8+ years of engineering experience
4+ years of people leadership experience
A clear understanding of motherboards, processors, and other motherboard components
Experience with computer architecture
Highly effective collaboration and teamwork skills
Excellent analytical, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Adaptable to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with multifaceted demands
C, C++, Python programming languages
Experience preferred:
Knowledgeable in Servant Leadership
Understanding of how DRAM memory interacts with systems and end-customer solutions
Linux experience including some kernel interaction
Low level programming experience
