Software Defined Radio Engineer
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or computer engineering with 5+ years of relevant hardware experience is required (experience with embedded systems is a plus).Experience in accurately documenting software (requirements, flow diagrams, readme, users guide, etc.) and managing software bugs, features, epochs, sprints, and releases using tools (e.g., JIRA) is required.Experience with VHDL, Verilog, or MATLAB System Generator with competency in learning, developing, and maintaining existing source code and Xilinx based FPGA projects is required.Experience in Linux OS environment with advanced competency in installing and using software from Linux repositories and source code such as building a C project from source with Make, as well as using Linux command line utilities is required.Experience in one or more SDR frameworks such as GNU Radio, USRP/UHD, RTL-SDR, and Epic SDR development kits is preferred.Experience with commercial communication systems and/or radar signal processing is preferred, and the ability to manipulate digital RF data with DSP algorithms and codec processing is a plus.Must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Clearance upon hire (TS/SCI preferred).Benefits:The company currently pays 100% of employee medical, dental, and vision premiums and funds a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that covers initial out of pocket costs.Paid Leave - Four weeks of PTO (vacation/sick time).Employer-paid 100% premiums Medical, Dental and Vision Plans.Prescription Drug Plan.Employer funded HRA ($2K single/$4K family).Employer-paid Life Insurance ($100K per qualified employee).Employer-paid Short and Long Term Disability Plans.Paid Holidays (11 per year).401K Plan (contributions matched up to 4% of salary, immediately vested).Bonus Plan (historically paid at least once per year).Employee Referral Bonus Plan.Employee Tuition Reimbursement Plan.
