Title: Data Center Technician IILocation: USA - VA, RestonWe are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician with a strong background in server hardware support, networking, and cabling infrastructure. You should have a proven track record of managing data center operations and resolving technical issues efficiently.Your Roles and Responsibilities:Provide hardware support for enterprise servers with at least 4 years of experience. This includes troubleshooting, part replacement, and working with high-density servers and storage systems.

Possess at least 3 years of onsite data center experience, performing tasks such as installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of critical infrastructure.

Have 3 years of experience managing and configuring network equipment, including switches and routers, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring reliable and stable connectivity.

Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience with cabling infrastructure, including the installation, testing, and organization of network cables (fiber optic and copper), while adhering to data center standards.

2 years of experience using ServiceNow or a similar IT ticketing system, managing and resolving tickets, and tracking and documenting issues and incidents.

Required Qualifications/Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to respond to any On-Call request within 1 hour, while on-callUnderstanding of how to cable systems (power/copper/fiber/other) correctly based on ticket requirements and SOP standardsFamiliarity with working with CAT5e and CAT6 copper cable and multi-mode and single-mode fiberAbility to adapt to changing priorities, conditions, and circumstancesStrong organization skillsWorking knowledge of computer hardwareUnderstanding of networking components and infrastructuresKnowledge of copper and fiber testersExcellent troubleshooting skillsUnderstanding of Data Center best practices (i.e. basic fault tolerance, cable routing, calculating power usage)Familiarity with cable management and knowledge of how to run fiber and copper in a data centerSome knowledge of Data-Center electrical, HVAC, and bandwidth infrastructures as well as fiber/copper topologiesAble to operate material handling equipment – server lifts, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified)Proficiency working with standard desktop PC tools and applications, such as MS Office, MS Outlook, web browsers, etc.Ability to learn new softwarePreferred Qualifications:Certifications in Data Center technologies are desiredHands on experience in electrical, HVAC, and data center infrastructuresFamiliarity with ticketing systemsWorking knowledge of networking components and infrastructures, including Wi-FiPhysical Demand & Work Environment:Physically assist in moving and racking equipment.Able to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty (50) poundsMust have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standingMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environmentMust be able to use a computerMust have the ability to communicate effectivelySome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersSalary Range:$17.42 - $27.51 USD (Hourly)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
