Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.
Operates under the Cybersecurity Chief Engineer's general technical direction to implement Cyber capabilities intended to reduce open vulnerabilities across Dev Labs and Ops systems. This position increases the program's ability to meet customer expectations and allows for greater emphasis on end-product compliance in the OPS environment.
Essential Functions:
C2BMC NT Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to implement system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and capabilities to counter emerging cybersecurity threats.
Implements a variety of cyber platforms, including security information and event management (SEIM), data loss prevention (DLP), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), ACAS security scans, and End-Point-Security.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start.
9 years' experience with a bachelor's degree in cyber engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; 7 years' experience with a master's degree; or 13 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
DoD 8140 certification at
IASAE - Level II
or higher is required.
Strong working knowledge of IA concepts including patch management, two-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, and security event management.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships and communicate technical IA issues to senior officials.
Strong Cybersecurity analysis background, including Identity and Access Management methodologies, vulnerability management, compliance management, and database security.
Experience in cybersecurity requirements evaluation and validation.
Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and directory services (e.g., DNS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Hardening Windows and Linux servers and workstations by GPOs, IAVMs, and STIGs is highly desired.
Familiarity with creating/updating A&A packages is desired.
Network design and software engineering background is a plus.
