Description:The Software Engineer will be part of a team dedicated to helping advance the company's software technology. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading existing .NET and VB6 solutions as well as helping to architect, design, implement, and deploy new solutions. Strong verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners at various levels are essential to the success of this candidate.Requirements:
5+ years of experience using C#Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and/or equivalent work experience related to Computer ScienceAbility to demonstrate fundamental computer programming concepts like algorithms, data structures, and OOPSelf-motivated and able to work independently and in a groupDocument technical designs using flow charts, class diagrams, data flow diagrams, descriptive software component documentation etc. as requiredPerform unit testing and resolve any issues/bugs by debugging and troubleshooting the codePerform customer and in-house technical supportPerform other related duties as assigned in accordance with overall job responsibilitiesHelp to achieve the completion of all projects within budget and on scheduleA Plus:
Design and develop WPF or Win Forms based solutions for engineering software applications (no website or IT development)Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating progressSkilled in high level programming languages, e.g. C++, FORTRAN, or JAVAExperience with TDD, writing Unit and Integration TestsKnowledge of and experience in applying design patterns and software development best practicesStrong working knowledge of current UI approaches and best practicesExperience with source controlTo apply for this position please submit an MS Word doc of your resume and put in the subject "Job ID # 1819".
