Analyst, Senior Business TestingPosition Details:CONTRACT TO HIRETRAINING SCHEDULE – MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:30AM-4:00PM AFTER TRAINING, MONDAY-FRIDAY, 7AM-3:30PMMANAGER WILL CONDUCT INTERVIEWS, TYPICALLY ON WEDNESDAYS, OTHER DAYS MAY BE ADDED IF NEEDED.POSSIBILITY OF REMOTE WORK AFTER TRAININGBCBS WILL PROVIDE THE EQUIPMENTPREFERRED/NICE TO HAVE skill sets/qualities:Project management skillsIndependent learner/self-starter skill set, able to learn new processes without being provided formal trainingAnalytical skills, being able to read a document and figuring out what could potentially be affected by changes being requestedDay to Day:Contractor would be provided a project to work on with very limited instructions. After reading through the instructions, they must interpret and build a test plan creating scenarios on how they could test this change. They will gather the needed system access and commence testing, updating management and other key stakeholders on the status of the project.We are looking for:We are not looking for individuals with extensive technical backgroundOur testing is of existing applications to see if they work or not; we are not writing scripts or doing anything that requires you to write out a technical codeBeing able to work with a team would be good enough rather than being in-person or virtually; you will have to work well with othersAbout the team:Most of the team has worked in this area for more than 2 years but have been with the company 5-20 yearsWe are often provided projects with short turnaround timesMost of the time, as long as you get the work done, no one will be checking your every moveDuties:This position functions as a project/team leader in developing and executing formal test plans to ensure quality software applications.Defines and analyzes quality assurance metrics on test results, defects, etc.Monitors the system for exceptions and other items requiring review during testing and post-testing.Responsible for providing expertise to clients so they understand the testing process.50% Reviews, analyzes, assigns and leads major system projects or changes. Leads the test teams for review and development of test matrices and requests and provides necessary tools and information to assure accuracy. Attends project Scope, Design and Test Plan walkthroughs. Performs quality checks and research/responds to any audits. Monitors systems for exceptions and other items requiring post-test attention during the testing process. Attends technical requirement meetings and makes recommendations as needed for system design.20% Research, analyzes and develops solutions for improving applicable systems such as ways of increasing system productivity and decreasing manual intervention. Makes recommendations to management and other production areas on how to improve operational workflows. Provides training and supporting documentation.10% Defines and analyzes quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status to ensure work is as free of errors as possible. Analyzes test data for accuracy and provides production with implementation impacts to their current processes. Creates defect records based on analysis of test results to correct programming deficiencies. Creates statistical information for Information Systems and customers in order to track the progress of implementations.10% Participates with other areas on special projects and committees to improve testing quality and achieve more accurate results. Works with other areas to update relevant desk procedures as impacted by change sheets/projects.10% Handles other production projects or responsibilities that vary per area worked.Required Skills and Abilities:Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Information Technology, or another job-related field.Required Work Experience: 2 years of experience working in related processing support systems.4 years of system testing or system testing development experience.Strong business math skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Related systems support knowledge.Familiarity with relevant departmental software and area reporting methodologies.Strong research and analytical skills.Attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.Preferred Software and Other Tools: Experience with DB2, TI TOOL, Access Database, Microsoft Excel, and Quality Center.Work Environment: Typical office environment.Some travel between buildings may be required.This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is

$15.90/hour - $17.90/hour .
