What you will doThe Senior Business Systems Analyst assesses complex business problems and systems of interrelated business processes, to architect computer and web-based solutions. These solutions represent multi-million-dollar investments in capabilities to provide strategic differentiation for the Applied Chiller business.You will provide technical leadership and direction to technology leads, architects, developers, engineers and /or designers for complex systems development, configuration, as well as deployment for equipment selection tools and other essential business systems. This position is based in New Freedom, PA, and candidates must be commuting distance, or willing to relocate.How you will do itAnalyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve computer and cloud-based systems.
Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.
Writes detailed description of use cases, user needs, application functions, and steps required to develop or modify software applications.
Reviews computer and cloud-based system’s capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested application or application change is possible within existing system.
Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail the operations to be automated within the application and those operations to be performed by personnel who interact with the system.
Performs analysis on the components of operational systems to optimize performance in such things as response time and down time.
Conducts studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs. Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of application development.
Upgrades computer and cloud-based systems and corrects errors to maintain system after implementation. May assist Developers in resolution of problems.
Directs and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install, and modify applications.
Utilizes data modeling to generate multiple solutions as a means of identifying optimum solutions.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates multiple projects involving complex systems between internal and external resources.
Demonstrates leadership and provides direction for other team members of whom he or she does not directly manage.
Responsible for the stability and function of supporting applications, systems and tools.
Maintains communications to ensure project efforts are visible and transparent.
Provides 2nd level field support for equipment selection tools.
What you will needBachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience required. Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering is preferred
5+ years of product and/or software development lifecycle experience
Experience with both Agile and Waterfall software methodologies
Ability to provide direction and leadership to development teams, quality assurance, and other influences
Process-Driven Mindset
General knowledge of Windows and Web applications.
Ability to travel 20%
