We are looking for people with a strong background or interest in working across these domains to build successful platforms and systems. As a full stack engineer in User Billing, you will design and build platforms, tooling, and system solutions to support and scale the monetization of Stripe’s products and services. You will partner with many functions at Stripe, with the opportunity to both work on platform systems, as well as produce direct user-facing business impact.Responsibilities

Build and maintain full-stack systems which model, manage and store Stripe’s pricing.Identify and build tooling and sources of truth to scale Stripe’s business through automation.Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.Collaborate with stakeholders across the company including engineering, product, operations, finance, data science, accounting, sales, and operations.Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply.5+ years of experience in data modeling, API design, and building intuitive user interfaces.Love to design systems and user interfaces that are elegant abstractions over complex patterns/practices, especially in the financial industry.Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems.Take pride in landing projects involving a wide variety of technologies and systems.Think about systems, services, and user interfaces, and write high quality code. We work mostly in Typescript, React, Java, Ruby.However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework.Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.The annual US base salary range for this role is $179,400 - $269,200. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.At Stripe, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity.
