We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer in Powder Metals to join our pioneering engineering team. This position entails designing and engineering powder metal components for various industries, including automotive, military, medical, and consumer products. As a crucial member of our team, you will engage directly with customers to tailor solutions that meet their specific needs, helping to develop cutting-edge products from conception through to implementation. You will contribute to our company's growth through innovation, making an impact on the market by promoting and developing new applications and products.

Compensation:

$100,000.00 - $130,000.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of powder metal components tailored for various applications such as automotive, military, medical, and consumer products.

Interface directly with customers to understand their needs and provide engineering solutions that meet these requirements.

Collaborate with an advanced technology engineering team to innovate and enhance product design and application.

Facilitate the development of superior business relationships with all engineering, technical, and commercial sales teams both current and prospective.

Engage in the continuous promotion of new products, applications, and markets, thus driving the company's growth and innovation forward.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Proven experience as an application, design, or project engineer in the field of powder metals.

Demonstrated ability to design components for varied applications, including in industries such as automotive, military, and medical.

Strong skills in interfacing and communicating effectively with customers during the development of products.

Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment on advanced technology projects.

Professional commitment to high-quality work and achieving results that meet the technical and business requirements of clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software specifically tailored to powder metal applications.

Prior role in a leadership or supervisory capacity within a technology-driven engineering team.

Knowledge of the latest industry trends and technological advancements in powder metals and component manufacturing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex design challenges.

Skills:

Expertise in CAD and other engineering design tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and persuade various stakeholders.

Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

In-depth understanding of the powder metal manufacturing processes and materials.

Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
