As a Programmer Analyst III at Cherokee Nation Systems Solutions (CNSS) in Charleston, SC, you will play a vital role in reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems to support the organization's application systems. You will collaborate with users to identify requirements, develop solutions, and provide technical support.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for

Programmer Analyst III: Pay commensurate with experience.

Programmer Analyst III Responsibilities Include:

Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing, to support the organization's application systems.

Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Develop and implement software solutions to address user requirements, utilizing programming languages and technologies.

Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections, ensuring clarity and completeness.

Create manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures, providing comprehensive guidance on system usage.

Demonstrate proficiency in relational databases and client-server concepts, leveraging this knowledge to design and develop database-driven applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into existing systems and infrastructure.

Test software applications to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance meet established standards.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

Work under general supervision, demonstrating a wide degree of creativity and latitude in problem-solving, while also leading and directing others as needed.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Programmer Analyst III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development or programming, preferably in a federal agency setting.

Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in software development, such as Java, C++, Python, or .NET.

Strong understanding of relational databases and client-server concepts, with experience in database design and SQL.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze user requirements and develop effective software solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with users, stakeholders, and technical teams.

Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including program specifications and user manuals.

Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices, such as Agile or Scrum.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience leading or directing the work of others is desirable.

Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
