The Aero IT Solutions Architect sets the overall technology direction of the product/group by leveraging common architectural patterns, building and maintaining a future-state blueprint of product architecture, and sponsoring innovation. Collaborates across Enterprise IT and the Business Functions to understand business needs and objectives.The F-35 program is transitioning from its current Legacy PLM platform (Teamcenter Enterprise) to a more modern PLM platform (Teamcenter Xcelerator) so that its Digital Thread can be better realized and integrated across the program and enterprise. As the Chief Enterprise Architect develops the Digital Transformation roadmap, the PLM Systems Architect will design solutions that align with that roadmap and target the immediate and long-term business needs of the F-35 Program. The PLM Systems Architect interfaces with the Chief Enterprise Architect and the PLM Chief Engineer and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. Frequent interaction with Program and Engineering personnel requires effective communication skills both oral and written.Basic Qualifications:Ability to transform requirements into specific solution architecture design documentsExperience in developing and executing technical plans/roadmapsKnowledge of Agile principles and development practicesExperience as a Software/Systems/Solutions ArchitectExperience within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems developmentStrategic Mindset that ensures an overall cohesive environment and cross-product architectural alignmentWillingness to coach and mentor other architectsDesired Skills:Experience with F-35 program design release process.Practical knowledge of PLM systems and supporting software: Siemens Teamcenter, eQube-MI, eQube-BI, DecisionsDeep understanding of the current and future technology architecture, including inter-operability of technologiesKnowledge of how to balance the competing needs of the business, technology feasibility, and user experienceClearance Level:
