As a

Senior Domain Architect

at Trustmark, you will play a critical role leveraging your experience providing architecture and technical thought leadership and end-to-end execution of business unit solutions, leading the evaluation and selection of technology to solve operational business needs within a business unit domain. The role will focus on applying enterprise standards, frameworks, and reference architectures. You will work closely with the IT leadership team and business stakeholders to design and develop strategic IT roadmaps, providing technical oversight managing third party vendors to adhere to previously developed and approved architectural solutions. The role will drive innovation, develop/review domain level architecture and is responsible for IT innovation and promotion of new technologies while ensuring enterprise architectural standards and best practices are followed across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain industry standards and reference architectures for specific business domains by collaborating with key stakeholders including Enterprise Architecture, CIO, and business leadership to align with the strategy and target of IT and the business roadmap.

Design and implement IT architecture frameworks that align with business goals and industry standards.

Lead the development and deployment of AI and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.

Develop and maintain domain architectures aligned with reference architectures and roadmaps.

Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments.

Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations to ensure the adoption of industry standards and emerging technologies.

Provide technical oversight managing third party vendors.

Manage deviations and exceptions from reference architectures.

Mentor and guide junior architects and technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Manage technology complexities and conflicts.

Act as an idea generator and thought leader to develop new processes and solutions.

Use technology knowledge to anticipate and understand the implications of emerging technologies.

Develop and maintain technology roadmaps.

Act as a subject matter expert in specific business unit technology disciplines.

Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience in IT architecture with strong focus on industry-leading frameworks.

Experience providing architecture and technical leadership to a business unit.

Experience using AI/Generative AI.

Experience using Architecture frameworks TOGAF/C4 model/MACH.

Experience using Automation/ Low Code/No Code platforms/RPA.

Experience using Cloud technologies such as Azure, Google Cloud, AWS.

Experience providing technical oversight managing third party vendors.

Preferred knowledge includes: Ansible, APIs, CRM technologies (Salesforce, MS Dynamics), Data Modeling and data management Databricks, Synapse, Informatica, Data Lake, Snowflake etc., Development Technologies such as .Net/Java/Kotlin/React/Angular/HTML, DevOps, Kotlin, Kubernetes, NoSQL, TDD, background that includes Java, React, Swift.
