The Continuity Specialist works as part of Tyler Corporate Cloud Services (CCS) Continuity team to provide Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity services for internal and external customers. The CCS Continuity Analyst is responsible for providing high level operational and technical support. The CCS Continuity Specialist provides direction and mentoring to less experienced staff.Responsibilities
Configure, monitor, and maintain backup and disaster recovery applications in the public and private cloud to meet SLA requirements.Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues as needed.Manage projects as part of larger CCS Continuity project initiatives.Act as a technical escalation path between CCS Continuity Specialists and management.Analyze system requirements and configure systems in support of customer needs.Coordinate DR declarations and testing per client requirements.Effectively communicate highly complex technical and non-technical information clearly and professionally with peers, management, and other departments within the company.Drive team to continually improve on response time to alerts and average time to resolution.Drive CCS organizational operating standards and practices.Write and maintain detailed procedural documentation.Participate in on-call rotation including after-hours and weekend duties.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related area of study, or comparable work experience.Experience with backup or replication technologies preferred.Microsoft / VMWare / AWS certifications preferred. Associate level AWS certification required within 1 year of employment.AWS / Azure cloud computing experience preferred.2+ Years of experience with the following technologies is preferred:
Windows Server Operating SystemsMicrosoft SQL ServerMicrosoft Failover ClusteringVMware vSphere (ESXi), vCenter, VDIMicrosoft Volume Shadow Copy ServiceSnapshot backup technologiesAWS replication technologies
PowerShell, Python, or equivalent scripting knowledge preferred.Fundamental understanding of networking technologies.The ability to use analytical problem-solving skills to independently troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work within a team environment, assist peers when necessary, and participate in regular team meetings to communicate upcoming work/events.Exhibit highly efficient management of time, tasks, and priorities.As a part of Tyler’s corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company.
