United States Anaerobic Digestion and Renewable Natural Gas (AD+RNG) Leader
who will play an active role in championing our Waste, Wastewater, and Energy Transition Teams to leverage GHD’s significant experience in new and innovative technologies.
The role can be located anywhere in the United States.
GHD aims to lead and accelerate this shift by finding synergies between waste and energy and supporting the energy transition. By using waste as a resource, waste management, wastewater (codigestion), and agricultural sectors can play a significant role in the energy transition. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions that integrate waste management and energy production, such as anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, gasification, pyrolysis, and landfill gas recovery. We also provide technical and strategic advice to help our clients navigate the complex regulatory, financial, and environmental challenges of these waste resource projects. By leveraging our global expertise and local knowledge, GHD helps our clients achieve their waste and energy goals creating a positive impact for the future through enhancing energy security and creating economic and social benefits for the communities we serve.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Collaborate, contribute to and implement strategy along with GHD’s personnel within Waste, Agriculture, Wastewater, and Energy Transition teams for development of renewable energy projects including anaerobic digestion, renewable natural gas, conventional and emerging renewables, and other applicable technologies such as pyrolysis, gasification, and/or hydrogen.
Knowledge of waste, wastewater and/or renewable energy industries along with current technologies and regulations to understand market trends and requirements for project development.
Establish client relationships with municipal and private clients and prospects across North America with a focus on the United States.
Collaborate with Global, North American and Regional Market Leaders, Client Resource Managers, Service Line Leaders, and Client Sector Leaders to achieve excellent business outcomes.
Develop and mentor senior leadership and/or rising talent within the business and attract strategic hires to develop the business.
Promote and collaborate in the development of innovative project delivery methods and champion this across GHD, providing mentorship and leadership to technical staff as appropriate.
Work with project directors, managers, and teams to establish and improve Business Group job delivery skills by interfacing generally with delivery teams to develop and define metrics over time that can refine business, on the basis of real performance data.
What you bring to the team:
The US AD+RNG Lead should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the AD+RNG sector, with a proven track record of business development and technical leadership.
Passionate about a low-carbon future and the ability to engage in energy transition, taking advantage of the many opportunities for transformation in the waste, wastewater, and renewable energy industries.
Experience in organic waste processing and waste technologies is key.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders, including clients, partners, regulators, and internal teams.
A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, or a related field, and professional certification or license in relevant jurisdictions.
Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
Salary range: $133,780.00 to $233,840.00
