Indev is seeking a Power Apps Developer who can support our growing practice at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other federal agencies. A key function of this role is the ability to create complex flows/triggers in Power Apps, and visualize data, using best practices for database design, particularly guiding and supporting the transition of a legacy on premise system to Office 365 and SharePoint. This developer will provide support in the following areas, but not limited to developing and updating custom Power BI Dashboards, automating business processes, creating custom SharePoint Pages, extending Power Apps pages functionality with Dataverse integration, data migration, and coordinating and implementing change requests.This is a direct-hire, full time position with salary and benefits. Indev provides a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with match, Flexible Spending Account, and Paid Time Off (PTO)—including vacation and holiday pay.LOCATIONMostly remote with occasional travel to Washington, D.C. or Springfield, VAYOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage or support SharePoint site creation, administration, and site governance while maintaining up to date documentationIntegrate Power Apps with other Microsoft services, such as: SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and TeamsCollaborate and coordinate across key functional and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze requirementsSupport the team with problem solving, design, performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and component levelCreate and maintain technical documentation for applications through their development lifecycleContinuously improve and update existing Power Apps based on user feedback and evolving mission needsLead or support a cross-functional team of developers and engineers in designing and implementing scalable software solutions, enhancing project delivery efficiency, and fostering a collaborative team environment through mentorship and agile practicesSupport the creation and maintenance of legacy system APIs for data connectionsAutomate business processes as needs or opportunities ariseSupport the project team to develop and maintain a user story backlogExtend Power Apps pages functionality with Dataverse integration and custom codeREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLEBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field4 to 8+ years of experience in relational databases, data modeling, SQL programming, SOA, and ETL architectures4+ years of experience integrating commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions4+ years of programming experience and familiarity with modern programming frameworks, languages, and tools (C#, .NET, JAVA, HTML, etc.)4+ years of experience with SharePointDemonstrated expertise in Data modeling, Database Design, Reporting, Data integration, and data cleansing. SDLC experience including unit testing and QA processes, configuration management, build and release processesUnderstanding of the Canvas Apps framework including customization experience with data connections and Canvas AppsExperience with Microsoft Power Apps including developing and deploying custom Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI solutionsExperience integrating Power Apps and Power Automate flows with a variety of data sources and leveraging connectorsExperience with using SharePoint Online and/or Azure SQL as an application back-end storageUnderstanding of the creation and configuration of Power Apps and their limitationsAbility to work with customers to assess needs, triage issues, resolve problems, satisfy expectationsUnderstanding of the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance and quality control used to ensure a product fulfills functional requirements and standardsExperience employing agile development best practicesFamiliarity with Word and Excel Templates and parsing API endpoints and JSON dataNICE TO HAVE’SExperience working in a Federal environment, preferably Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and/or Transportation Security Administration (TSA)Active DHS clearance, preferably with TSAMicrosoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or higherABOUT INDEVAt Indev, we’re not just a company; we’re a trailblazing force transforming the way IT applications shape the future.
