Barry Callebaut seeks diverse and passionate people who thrive in a dynamic environment, focused on continuous learning, living BC’s Values and of course loving chocolate.The Project Engineer, E&A, supports the cluster engineering team by providing full life-cycle support of automation and electrical while also supporting cyber security and MES needs.Key responsibilities include:Together with and based on the input of internal customers and end-users, analyze the project and work out the proposals in order to arrive at a concrete definition and budget of the project. Manage the E&A scope from A to Z, supporting the general project manager. The projects in scope are capacity investments, revamps, or energy projects.Accountability for complete E&A scope execution including team leadership, control panel engineering, SCADA design, PLC and HMI programming, and site start-up support of integrated systems.Manage project resources (GBS engineers and external engineering companies), including people, time, and budgets to successfully achieve project goals.Manage the automation and controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up.Coordinate programming, configuring, testing, and commissioning PLC and HMI based control systems.Give guidance on maintenance of programs for PLCs and PCs coordinating with Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Information Technology staff, and Production and Maintenance personnel.Depending on the size of the project, perform the basic engineering yourself or coordinate with external Engineering partners. This includes: low voltage power distribution, instrumentation and automation scope of engineering projects including OT network design, MES design and safety functions.E&A for all building utilities: lighting, power supplies, and fire protection systems.The establishment of tender documents, technical alignment and support for the procurement department of Barry Callebaut.The range of tasks will vary depending on your profile.Follow up the selected contractors during detailed engineering to ensure the project is in line with scope, budget, and timing and complies with international and Barry Callebaut standards.Lead a team of subcontractors during installation and commissioning works, including cabling cableway design, I/O-testing, functional testing, and start-up.Organize the project team and coordinate the work of internal and external stakeholders.About you:BS or Masters in Engineering, preference for master degree, preferably in the field of electro-technics, electro-mechanics or energy and have a thorough knowledge of industrial electricity or gained the needed skills through previous work experiences.At least 7 years of related automation experience with HMI, SCADA, PLCs, and general control system design.In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, including HMI and SCADA systems, Allen-Bradley controls/controllers, Siemens and Schneider PLCs.Thorough knowledge of industrial electricity and automation.Flexible to travel during project assignments, projects are executed in the cluster (50% of time).Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in project management in the field of electricity and automation. This can be in study agencies as well as in industry.Knowledge of technical tools: Autocad, Caneco, Sistema are a nice to have.Work in an orderly manner, draw up action plans, specifications and tender documents.Knowledge of the international standards in the electrical and automation disciplines, starting from the machine directive.Solid experience in energy projects and an understanding of the ongoing transition towards carbon free operations.What you can expect from Barry Callebaut:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Environment that welcomes workplace flexibility.
