IT Associate - 2025 Information Technology Leadership Development Program

The IT Leadership Development Program accelerates professional development by placing IT Associates on multiple Avient IT Teams during a two-year rotational program. The IT Associate gets hands-on experience by going through three or more rotations gaining key technical, project management, and leadership competencies. These teams develop and support a wide range of applications and information systems that enable the critical processes of Avient businesses.Manufacturing SystemsGlobal Procurement SystemsEssential FunctionsAssisting with building and maintaining the IT infrastructureRecommending and implementing technical solutions in line with business requirementsDaily support of global business operationsCreating and enhancing technical documentation and reportsProgramming enhancements and automationTroubleshooting to optimize system performancePartnering globally with business associatesDuring each phase of assignment, IT Associates will establish relationships with peers and leaders, learn fundamentals, and receive feedback from the program manager.Upon completion of the program, individuals will be placed in a full-time role within Avient that best suits their personal and professional goals and matches business needs.Associates within the IT Leadership Development Program will develop a keen sense for how to deliver value, expand their business acumen, and cultivate in-demand skills that cover the breadth of the IT landscape.QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited four-year institution, graduating in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024, with a demonstrated interest and aptitude for information technologyCumulative GPA of 3.0 or aboveExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteProblem solving / decision-making / sound judgmentAbility to multitask, manage time and prioritize tasks based on customer needsAttention to detail and the ability to follow processes and proceduresAt Avient, everyone is a Leader of Self and embodies our eight core competencies: Collaborates, Communicates Effectively, Action Oriented, Instills Trust, Being Resilient, Situational Adaptability, Demonstrates Self-Awareness and Customer Focus.Additionally, management positions focus on Leadership Competencies as a Leader of Others and/or a Leader of the Business.These competencies are designed to drive behavior that will ultimately help our associates excel at their current roles, while supporting individual and career development.Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) RequirementsAvient integrates EHS&S into all aspects of our operations.
