Taro is seeking a Sr Network Engineer within its US Network Group in Hawthorne, NY. The Sr Network Engineer will report into Sr Network Resource/Manager and will be flexible with work hours to co-ordinate across US and India times. The Sr Network Engineer will have good knowledge of LAN/WAN/Security/VoIP technologies. The Sr Network Engineer will work with business units and other IT functions to assess, recommend, deploy appropriate solutions for network connectivity and access control and monitor, troubleshoot and resolve any issues. The Sr Network Engineer will co-ordinate with external vendors for managed services to ensure maximum uptime and stability for the network. The Sr Network Engineer will also work with global teams on global network and security initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge of LAN/WLAN/SDWAN TechnologiesUnderstanding of Layer 2/3 network theories and protocolsRouter/switching configurations, management, and maintenanceFirewall technologies (Cisco ASA/Firepower/FDM/FMC, Palo Alto, CheckPoint)Spanning Tree protocols and troubleshootingRouting protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP)VoIP technologies including, but not limited to, Cisco Unity Call ManagerCisco IOS/NXOS knowledgeWireless technologies (Cisco WLC)Network Security/NAC/Radius (Cisco ACS/TACACS+/ISE)Site to Site VPN configurations and troubleshootingNetwork monitoring and management toolsLog debugging and troubleshooting skillsCabling (Copper/Fiber)Documentation (Visio/Excel)Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and able to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.Contributes to a team culture that promotes continuous improvement, ownership, professional growth, and inclusion.
Qualifications
4 year degree in Computer Science or Network/Network Security related studies and/or10+ years of Networking experience with a focus on office/manufacturing sitesCCNA/CCNP/CompTIA Net+ (Preferred, but not necessary)
