for electronics hardware , collaborating with various departments, and contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes. The developer is responsible for designing and maintaining test documentation, supporting manufacturing staff, and enhancing test methodologies. This role is located in Iroquois, Ontario within our manufacturing facility.Who you report to:

Work from OfficeWhat the job is all about:Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automated and semi-automated test solutions and procedures to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of product.Develop and adjust test plans for new products in collaboration with R&D and the Test Development team, establishing the technical requirements.Conduct functional, performance, and reliability tests on electronic hardware components and systems, ensuring comprehensive coverage.Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality. Document findings and suggest corrective actions.Prepare and update comprehensive test reports, documentation, and technical summaries for internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to the continuous improvement of test methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.Provide technical support for manufacturing staff with product and test station implementation knowledge.Assist in the development and maintenance of custom test tools and fixtures, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.Work closely with hardware design engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.Independence of managing your work: Plan and schedule own work effectively, understanding project timelines.Ownership of learning: Demonstrate ownership of learning by staying current with industry trends and continuously updating skills.Informed outcomes: Understand the business and financial impacts of the functional role and make informed choices for the greater benefit of the business.Who you are:Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience,
3-5 years in electronics hardware testing and development .Knowledge of Broadcast Industry standards and implementation.Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes, procedures, and best practices.Experience with electronic hardware and a solid understanding of electronic theory, especially digital components such as CPUs, FPGA, flash, etc.Ability to comprehend electrical schematics and PCBA design files.Familiarity with a wide variety of test equipment (e.g., high-speed scopes, video/audio generators/analyzers, DVMs, etc.).Proficiency in scripting languages such as AutoIt, TCL, or Python.Knowledge of data acquisition concepts such as TCP/IP, RS232, USB, and CAN.Understanding of JTAG and Boundary Scan concepts (preferred).Ability to learn an object-oriented language and basic database interfacing (preferred).Bonus points if you have the following:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills within a
