Penetration TesterKey Role:
Finds possible vulnerabilities while using penetration testing tools and techniques, to ensure security of computer systems, applications, servers, or networks. Applies specific functional knowledge, working knowledge, and industry knowledge. Develops and contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance. Reviews or guides activities of more junior employees.Basic Qualifications:Experience with identifying and exploiting vulnerable services using custom or publicly available exploitsExperience using a basic scripting language, including Python, Ruby, Perl, or BashKnowledge of TCP/IP networkingKnowledge of Linux and Windows system administrationKnowledge of Microsoft Active Directory basicsKnowledge of fundamental computer security concepts and terminology, such as host and network-based firewalls, AV and EDR software, and common web application vulnerability typesAbility to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in written reports and presentationsBachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity in lieu of a degreeSecret clearanceAdditional Qualifications:Experience with Nessus or other vulnerability scannerExperience with Burp Suite or other web proxy toolKnowledge of common database management systemsOSCP or GPEN CertificationClearance:
