ManTech is seeking a Network Engineer to help support our current Marine Corps Warfighting Lab contract.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operations, maintenance, sustainment, and troubleshooting at the highest tier support for IT infrastructure across multiple networks and security domainsKeep networking devices in compliance with latest patches, IAVAs, and OPDIRsBrief leadership on the health of systems locally and throughout the enterpriseProvide customers recommendations to increase performance and redundancy of current network configurations and recommendations for future upgradesUpdate/Create documentation as needed (user guides, admin guides, knowledge base articles, FAQs, quick reference guides)Provide training to peer engineers as neededSetting up IP schemas for multi-tenant environmentsConfiguring physical and virtual switching, routing, and firewall protocols, ports, and servicesInterface with vendors to address problem escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performanceResearches, evaluates, recommends, and provides quality assurance review and evaluation of new and existing networking products, technologies, and enhancementsPlans and coordinates major computer network initiativesUtilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software, and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activityDevelops and executes disaster recovery and contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outagesOther duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications:Requires Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience in the following: (Additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)Patch and implement security controls in response to IAVAs and OPDIRs on respective network equipment (physical and virtual)Familiar with network monitoring softwareWorking knowledge of network standards/protocols/security, hardware, and application virtualizationWorking knowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth managementWorking knowledge of the Windows and/or Linux Operating systems to include Server and Workstation environmentsHands-on experience with network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, servers, transmission media, and related hardwareHands-on experience with network systems design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts and methodsMeet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT II - for instance, must have and maintain, at a minimum, active Security + CE and associate level or higher Network certificationPreferred Qualifications:Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environmentKnowledge of standard DoD and Marine Corps concepts, practices, and procedures. Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps interoperability requirements is preferredSupport to tactical SATCOM programsFamiliarity with Load Balancers (hardware and software)Cloud experience – AWS PreferredJuniper Operating System (JUNOS) and/or CISCO IOSStrong TCP/IP foundation, BGP, QoS, and MulticastNetwork Security Appliances to include Type1 encryption devicesVideo Teleconference (VTC), Desktop VTC, and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) integration and managementWAN technologies, protocols, and optimizersWorking knowledge of DoD STIGs related to the applicable technologies and how to implement, mitigate, and write POAM statements
